I have long been fascinated by the collision of two worlds. The European discovery of the

Americas, and all that has happened since, is a story of both creation and destruction. I cannot

look away from this, I find it the most compelling event in human history. For it we are both

richer and poorer. I have worked to make my feelings on this come through paintings for over

twenty five years, and I do not think I will ever feel done
